Just look around for a moment.
Teachers protesting and shutting down schools province-wide in Ontario…thousands of students out of school.
Wet’suwet’en land dispute protests shutting down railways and roads crippling our country…indigenous people frustrated; thousands of people being laid off.
Businesses closing or moving out of the country for 2020…Pier 1 Imports, Bose, Things Engraved, Forever 21, Zellers (last of them), Bench, and many others downsizing…thousands of people losing their jobs.
Not to mention the global crisis of the corona virus that has slipped into our borders.
I was thinking of these words:
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” Psalm 33:12a
We’ve moved so far away from this we hardly know who God the LORD really is.
Many of our leaders responsible for this nation eliminate God as their LORD… Leaving us this rudderless nation whose god is not the LORD.
Are we not seeing a nation Stressed instead of Blessed?
How much more will it take?
It’s Urgent
We must call a time of urgent prayer now for this nation we call home, and for its people…that this nation would once again pursue honoring the true God as LORD and seek Him in navigating the challenges we face.
