“If you have never stood before God and been utterly confused, you are serving an idol. God is so much bigger than we could ever fathom.” Quoted by Steve Brown on Key Life. I gave it some thought…
Sometimes in life things don’t make sense. We might lift our faces to God and ask ‘Why?’

In our struggle of wanting to know…
…to know more
…to know why
…to know how…
God doesn’t always reveal answers. At least not in ways we want or fully understand.

We might end up at the very end of ourselves… and have nothing left.
Then God steps in… our ‘so much bigger than we could ever fathom’ God.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord, “as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
The God of higher ways, this God of the impossible, steps in and provides in ways we never thought possible.
Lifting us. Enlivening us. Reminding us that the Way for us to walk is in Christ Jesus. Together.
A difficult way, a challenging way, a way that does not always make sense, but a joyful way that molds us, shapes us, and beckons us to think beyond this world, towards that which lasts eternally.

So we will need to trust. And to have faith. And walk humbly with our God…
our Sovereign God who is ‘so much bigger’,
walking by faith ‘amidst the confusion’,
trusting He is with us ‘in ways we can not fathom’.
“Everything is possible for one who believes….
I do believe. Help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24
